Ankara nightlife

Dear Turkey and Ankara visitors,

With its bustling 5 million population, 40 shopping malls might seem enough for Ankara dwellers. But with more than 15 university, Ankara needs a heavy alcohol drinkable pubs, bars, discos and nightlife for student population. If you are visitor to Ankara for business, or as tourist I recommend you to see Tunalıhilmi Street bars, cafes to drink beer, votka, gin or any other alcoholic beverages. Even workdays you can see some kind of university student crowds and you can be have the opportunity to talk to them and laugh a bit.
If you have car, then move to Umitköy neighborhood, around 20 km outskirts of the city(drive through Eskişehir Road and then turn to Umitkoy) to "Park Street" and you will see lots of  bars, discos to enjoy Ankara nightlife.
In Gaziosmanpaşa neighborhood, best places are in Filistin Street, trendy, a little bir expensive but full of Ankara crowds. Go up the hill and in Gaziosmanpaşa area, find out "Amarillo" bar, you can find heavy crowds on weekends, drinking their alcohol and dance on the stages.
If you want cheap beer to drink and enjoy the city life, then go to Sakarya Caddesi(Sakarya Street) in Kızılay and 50 cl. beer goes for 2.5 USD.
